AEG vs Neff N 30 75cm Canopy Cooker Hood - Silver — Comparison

The AEG DEB2631S at £274 and the Neff D5855X1GB at £339 are both cooker hoods designed for discreet extraction, but they differ in width and installation. The AEG is a 60cm extractor hood from the 5000 series in grey silver, while the Neff is a 75cm canopy hood from the N 30 range in silver, designed to be built into a wall cabinet above the hob.

The Neff D5855X1GB is a canopy hood, which fits into the underside of a kitchen cabinet so only the slim lower panel is visible, keeping the kitchen looking clean. It offers three speeds plus an intensive setting for high extraction when searing or frying, LED lighting to illuminate the hob, and a 75cm width suited to wider hobs. The AEG DEB2631S is a 60cm extractor hood from AEG's 5000 range, matching 60cm hobs, with AEG's focus on efficient extraction and simple controls. A hood should generally be at least as wide as the hob for best extraction.

Match the hood to your hob and kitchen layout. If you have a 70–75cm hob, or want a hidden canopy design built into a cabinet, the Neff is the better choice, and its intensive setting is valuable for heavy cooking. If you have a standard 60cm hob and want to save £65, the AEG is a sensible option, especially if you have other AEG appliances, as some AEG hobs and hoods can coordinate via Hob²Hood. Check ducting and recirculation options for both.

Bottom line: choose the Neff D5855X1GB at £339 if you have a wider hob or want a concealed 75cm canopy hood with an intensive boost. Choose the AEG DEB2631S at £274 if you have a 60cm hob and want a value AEG extractor.
