Beko 177L Frost Free Tall Freezer vs — Comparison

The Beko FFG4545W is a 177-litre frost-free tall freezer priced at £399, while the Beko FNE4545W is a white tall frost-free model at £429.

The FFG4545W has an energy rating of E with 213 kWh a year, a noise level of 40dB (class C), reversible doors, a fast-freeze function and a freezer guard. It measures 1457mm high, 540mm wide and 575mm deep and weighs 44kg, with no electronic temperature control. It is a medium-sized upright suited to a kitchen with limited space, so measure your gap against these dimensions before ordering.

Buyers of the FFG4545W like the see-through drawers, which make food easy to find, and the fast-freeze section, and they say it is good value for its size. Complaints are small: one would like a louder door alarm, and another found the manual unclear about the controls. Buyers of the FNE4545W praise its quiet running, large drawers and door alarm. Both suit a utility room or kitchen corner where extra frozen storage is needed, and the fast-freeze function helps when you load a large shop at once. Some FNE4545W buyers note that the top compartment is only rated two stars unless fast freeze is switched on.

Bottom line: choose the Beko FFG4545W if you want the lower price and a clear set of energy and dimension figures, or the FNE4545W if you prefer quiet running and large drawers and can accept £30 more.
