Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact HJ10 White/Silver vs TP11 Purifier Cool PC1 Purifying Fan - White — Comparison

The Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact HJ10 is a small 470mm tall air purifier at £349, while the Dyson TP11 Purifier Cool PC1 is a 1055mm tall purifying fan at £449. Both offer air purification with oscillation and a sleep timer, so they suit the same kind of room, but the TP11 is the larger, more fan-like unit.

The HJ10 has two speed settings, a MyDyson app that reacts automatically to PM2.5, electrostatic filtration and an activated carbon filter, but no remote control. The TP11 adds a remote control and a 10-speed range, and Dyson claims it captures 99.95% of pollutants.

Buyers of the HJ10 describe it as quiet and effective, with an app that is easier to read than the screen and an automatic mode that responds to air quality. TP11 buyers are split. Many praise its purification, the timer and the quiet night mode, which helps with hay fever and colds. Several say it does not cool a room much and feels overpriced, and a few find it noisy at middle to high speeds, so buy it for purification and quiet night running rather than cooling.

Bottom line: choose the Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact HJ10 if you want a smaller, quieter purifier for a bedroom or desk at £100 less, or choose the Dyson TP11 Purifier Cool PC1 if you want a taller unit with remote control and a 10-speed range and do not expect strong cooling.
