Haier vs NEFF — Comparison

The Haier HWB100B14858AUUK at £599 and the NEFF W543BX2GB at £749 are both built-in washing machines with a 1400rpm spin, designed to sit behind a kitchen cabinet door. They differ significantly in capacity and price.

The Haier HWB100B14858AUUK offers a large 10kg drum, which is unusually generous for a built-in washing machine, making it ideal for families who wash big loads, bedding and towels. Haier's machines typically use direct-drive inverter motors, which tend to be quieter and more durable than belt-driven designs. The NEFF W543BX2GB offers an 8kg drum and NEFF's German engineering from the BSH group, designed to match NEFF's premium kitchen appliances, with quiet operation and reliable build.

The Haier offers more capacity for £150 less, which makes it the clear value choice for larger households in a fitted kitchen. The NEFF suits buyers who want a matching NEFF kitchen and prefer BSH engineering, and whose loads fit comfortably within 8kg. Both spin at 1400rpm, so drying times will be similar. Check the housing dimensions, as a 10kg built-in machine may have slightly different depth requirements.

Bottom line: choose the Haier HWB100B14858AUUK at £599 if you want a large 10kg built-in washing machine for less. Choose the NEFF W543BX2GB at £749 if you are building a NEFF kitchen and an 8kg drum suits your household.
