Hisense C2TUK 65-300" Triple Laser Smart Projector 4K Ultra HD vs C2TUK-ULTRA — Comparison

The Hisense C2TUK 65-300 inch Triple Laser Smart Projector 4K Ultra HD and the Hisense C2TUK-ULTRA are both listed at £1,599 and both offer 4K Ultra HD with triple laser smart projection. They share a price and a similar name, so they sit in the same bracket, but each stands out for different strengths.

The 65-300 inch model offers a 1700:1 contrast ratio, a projected image from 65 to 300 inches, two HDMI inputs, 3840 by 2160 pixel resolution and a weight of 5.3kg. It is equipped with DTS Virtual X, a 4K AI upscaler and DTS HD audio. The 1700:1 contrast figure is the one to weigh if you watch in a lit room.

Buyers of the ULTRA describe bright, sharp 4K pictures that stay watchable in daylight, a 360-degree swivel and tilt body, automatic resizing and obstacle avoidance on walls and ceilings, and a built-in speaker that is loud enough for everyday viewing. Buyers of the 65-300 inch model mention easy setup, strong brightness and colour, and a seamless wifi connection with a smooth gaming frame rate. One says it still needs a darkened room for the best picture, which is typical of projectors in general. A clear, flat wall or ceiling and a dimmed room will get the most from either model.

Bottom line: choose the 65-300 inch model if you want its 1700:1 contrast and the 65 to 300 inch image range, or the ULTRA if the swivel, tilt and built-in speaker matter most.
