JURA C8 Compact Bean To Cup Smart Coffee Machine - Piano Black vs E8 Fully Automatic Coffee Machine - Black — Comparison

The Jura C8 is a compact bean to cup machine at £749, with an integrated burr grinder, a 1.6-litre water tank and six specialities. The Jura E8 costs £1,295 and offers 17 specialities and a 1.9-litre tank. Both have an LED display, drink strength control, a removable water tank and variable cup size.

The main practical gap is milk. The E8 has a milk frothing system and the C8 does not. The E8 also adds intelligent preheating, pulse extraction and 3D brewing technology, none of which the C8 offers. One reviewer found the lack of a milk jug poor at this price, so check exactly what the frothing system comes with before you buy.

In daily use the C8 is the simpler choice, with six drinks, a built-in grinder for fresh beans and no milk frothing, which suits espresso and black coffee drinkers. The E8 suits people who want milk-based drinks and a wider menu. Both have a removable water tank and a drip tray, so refilling and emptying are simple on either. Choose on how you actually drink coffee rather than on the feature count alone.

Bottom line: choose the Jura C8 if you want a cheaper bean to cup machine for espresso and black coffee; choose the Jura E8 if milk drinks and a wider range of specialities justify paying £546 more.
