LG 85A6C 86" 4K Ultra HD QNED HDR Smart TV - 86 vs C66LB 55" 4K Ultra HD OLED HDR evo AI Smart TV - 55C66LB — Comparison

The LG 86QNED85A6C is an 86-inch QNED LCD with webOS, Freeview HD and Freesat HD, Freeview Play, Dolby Atmos and a 60Hz refresh rate, along with three HDMI 2.0 ports and no HDMI 2.1 inputs. The LG 55C66LB is a 55-inch OLED with a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, four HDMI 2.1 ports, webOS 26, and an anti-reflective panel. Both carry a five-year guarantee; the QNED is listed as a 2025 model and the OLED as a 2026 model.

The two sets suit different rooms and habits. The QNED is very large and heavy, at about 52kg with its stand, so it is a choice for a big room and a large screen. The OLED is a smaller panel with better gaming credentials, including four HDMI 2.1 inputs and variable refresh rate, which matter for consoles and PCs. The QNED's listed HDR energy use is 226kWh per 1,000 hours against 190kWh for the OLED, yet the OLED is listed as energy class G against D for the QNED, so check the label before you buy.

Buyers of the QNED praise the picture, with one saying it looks almost as good as an OLED, and they mention easy setup with sound systems, consoles and set-top boxes. Several note that the sound is weaker without a soundbar. Buyers of the OLED are more mixed. One reports repeated internet connection drops that needed the password re-entered, and another says a screen saver feature needs a paid membership. Others praise the picture quality and the step up from an older set.

Bottom line: choose the LG 86QNED85A6C if you want a very large screen for a big living room and you will use a soundbar, choose the LG 55C66LB if you want OLED picture quality, HDMI 2.1 gaming features and a smaller room.
