LG 11kg Washing Machine 1400rpm Spin - Black vs 11kg 1400rpm Washing Machine - White — Comparison

The LG F4X7011TBB in black costs £949 and the LG F4X7011TWB in white costs £929. Both are 11kg, 1400rpm, 24-programme washers with TurboWash 360 and AI direct drive, rated A with 31 kWh and 46 litres of water per cycle. The two differ in features as well as colour, so the choice is more than a finish.

The black model has auto dosing (ezDispense), a 2-year guarantee and a height of 890mm, but no quick wash, anti-flood device or smart washing machine features. The white adds a 14-minute quick wash, an anti-flood device and smart features, with a 5-year guarantee, and it is 850mm high. The white is also £20 cheaper, so buyers who want a fast cycle, a longer warranty or a lower price should lean towards it, while those who want automatic detergent dosing should choose the black.

Buyers of the black praise its quiet running and the range of cycles, and the AI setting picks the programme automatically. Complaints include a humming noise during the cycle that can be heard through the wall, the need to edit the menu to reach rinse and spin, and a steam setting that runs at 60 degrees. White owners say it washes well and is quiet, with a large drum and a door that unlocks as soon as the programme ends.

Bottom line: choose the black F4X7011TBB if you want automatic detergent dosing and can live without a fast cycle. Choose the white F4X7011TWB if you want the 14-minute quick wash, the 5-year guarantee and the lower price.
