Siemens iQ300 363L NoFrost Fridge Freezer - Inox vs 440L Freestanding Fridge Freezer NoFrost - Black Steel — Comparison

The Siemens KG39NXIBF is a 363-litre NoFrost fridge freezer in inox at £1,049, while the Siemens KG49NXIDF is a 440-litre freestanding model in black steel at £1,099. The KG49NXIDF is 700mm wide against 600mm for the KG39NXIBF, though both are 2030mm tall. The larger model offers 311 litres of fridge space and 129 litres of freezer, against 260 and 103 litres for the smaller one.

The smaller model is more efficient, rated class B at 129kWh a year against class D and 223kWh for the larger model. It is also slightly quieter at 33dB against 35dB. The KG49NXIDF adds anti-bacterial protection and an IndoorTouch electronic display, while the KG39NXIBF brings Hyper Fresh, a bottle rack, multi airflow and an anti-fingerprint finish. Both have a door alarm, three freezer drawers and five fridge shelves.

The larger model suits a bigger household, and its 700mm width needs more floor space. The smaller model is the better choice if you want lower running costs and a quieter fridge. Both have reversible doors and a wine rack, so either suits a kitchen where door direction matters. A buyer of the KG39NXIBF praises its quiet running and generous room.

Bottom line: choose the Siemens KG39NXIBF if you want lower running costs, quieter operation and a smaller footprint; choose the Siemens KG49NXIDF if you need 440 litres of space and anti-bacterial protection and can accept class D efficiency.
