LG vs Technics Bookshelf Speakers

LG and Technics both offer premium home audio, but with different focuses. LG's listings include the Sound Suite range with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect: the M5 wireless speaker at £249, the M7 wireless speaker at £379 and the W7 wireless subwoofer at £599. Technics offers the SC-C70MK2 premium hi-fi system with Bluetooth and WiFi in black or silver at £799, and the SB-600E premium class pair of bookshelf speakers at £999.

LG's Sound Suite is aimed at immersive home cinema with compatible LG TVs. Dolby Atmos FlexConnect lets you place wireless speakers flexibly while the system calibrates surround sound. Technics, Panasonic's premium hi-fi brand, focuses on music. The SC-C70MK2 is an all-in-one system combining CD, DAB+, streaming and Bluetooth with built-in speakers and room-correction technology. The SB-600E is a pair of premium passive bookshelf speakers, designed for detailed, accurate music reproduction when paired with a quality amplifier.

The choice comes down to music versus home cinema. Music lovers who want a premium all-in-one with CD and streaming will appreciate the Technics SC-C70MK2, while audiophiles building a separates system will appreciate the SB-600E speakers. Buyers with an LG TV who prioritise immersive film and gaming sound with wireless convenience will find LG's Sound Suite the better fit. LG's components start at lower prices.

Bottom line: choose LG if you want wireless Dolby Atmos home cinema sound, with the Sound Suite M5 at £249 or the M7 at £379. Opt for Technics if you want premium music playback, with the SC-C70MK2 all-in-one at £799 or the SB-600E speakers at £999.
