Siemens vs Whirlpool Dishwashers

Siemens and Whirlpool share a price band from £439 to £999, but their models target different buyers. Whirlpool's WSIC3M27CUKN at £439 is a fully integrated slimline dishwasher, while the WIC3C26NUK at £449 is a full-sized integrated model. The freestanding W7FHP33UK at £549 offers 15 place settings, 10 programmes and three temperatures, and the W7F HS51 X UK at £649 adds a 30-minute quick wash and a B-rated 41dB noise level. Siemens starts with the SN23EC03ME at £699, a 14-place model with varioSpeed Plus and Home Connect, and runs up to the SN27TI02CE at £999 with a Zeolith compartment.

Siemens' distinguishing features are varioSpeed Plus, which cuts washing time by up to 66 per cent, Zeolith drying for glassware, and Home Connect for remote start and programme downloads. Its iQdrive motor is quiet and carries a 10-year warranty. Whirlpool relies on PowerClean Pro high-pressure jets that remove dried-on food without pre-rinsing, along with 6th SENSE sensors that adjust water, temperature and cycle length to the load. Its premium models run at 42dB and use about 9.5 litres per cycle. Whirlpool's smart connectivity is more limited on base models, so Siemens is stronger for control, while Whirlpool's W7FHP33UK offers 15 places against the Siemens' 14.

Siemens suits buyers who want connected controls and a premium finish in a fitted kitchen. Whirlpool suits people who want integrated models at the lower end of the price range, with straightforward cleaning and easy access to spare parts through UK distributors. Both brands need a 60cm opening and a 13-amp socket, and both recommend professional installation to protect the warranty. Households with larger loads may prefer the 15-place W7FHP33UK.

Bottom line: choose Whirlpool if the budget is tight, with the WSIC3M27CUKN at £439 for a slimline integrated fit or the W7FHP33UK at £549 for 15 places; choose Siemens if Home Connect control and varioSpeed Plus matter more, starting with the SN23EC03ME at £699.
