Indesit vs Siemens Fridges

Indesit leads with the Indesit SI8 2Q WD UK 368l Low Frost Tall Fridge - White (£399), with the SI62S 323L tall fridge in silver (£389) and SI62WUK 368L Low Frost tall fridge (£369). Siemens counters with the Siemens KS36VAXEP iQ500 346L Tall Fridge - Black Steel (£899), with the KS36VVIEPG iQ300 346L tall larder EasyClean fridge in inox (£799) and KS36VVIEPG at £799.00. The choice is therefore between mainstream tall-larder capacity at mid-market prices and premium tall-larder cooling with refined finishes, not just two similar white boxes.

On technology, Indesit focuses on Low Frost cooling on the 368L models, simple full-height shelving and a choice of white or silver finishes, so the appeal is big weekly-shop capacity without pushing into premium smart-fridge pricing. Siemens brings iQ500 or iQ300 controls, 346L larder space, EasyClean inox on the iQ300 and black-steel styling on the iQ500, giving a more engineered, design-led feel than entry-level white appliances. Check defrost type, usable litres, finish and whether the appliance is undercounter, freestanding tall or integrated before comparing prices.

Indesit suits families, shared houses and practical buyers who want litres per pound. Siemens suits fitted-looking freestanding kitchens, Siemens loyalists and buyers wanting a premium finish. The cheaper option wins on cash outlay, but the dearer fridge can still be better value if its airflow, freshness drawers or larger cavity reduce food waste and shopping trips. Energy payback is not guaranteed; it depends on the energy label, how full you run the fridge and whether the size matches your household. Also factor delivery, door reversal and ventilation space, especially in older UK kitchens.

Bottom line: "choose Indesit if you need a big 368L larder, Low Frost convenience and sensible pricing / opt for Siemens if you want iQ-series design, 346L capacity and EasyClean or black-steel styling."
