Fridgemaster vs Siemens Fridges

Fridgemaster tops this selection with the Fridgemaster MTL55242E 242L Tall Auto Defrost Larder Fridge at £239, while Siemens peaks with the Siemens KS36VAXEP iQ500 346L Tall Fridge - Black Steel at £899. Fridgemaster also lists the Fridgemaster MUR4894E 75l Undercounter Fridge with Icebox from £129, and Siemens starts with the Siemens KS36VVIEPG iQ300 346L Tall Larder EasyClean Fridge - Inox at £799, so the choice is mainly about format, capacity and budget.

Fridgemaster covers the low-price basics: the MUL4892E is a narrow 475mm undercounter larder, the MUR4894E adds a 75L icebox layout, and the MTL55242E gives 242L auto-defrost tall storage. Siemens offers iQ500 and iQ300 346L tall larder fridges, including black steel and Inox finishes, with EasyClean detailing on the KS36VVIEPG line. In practical terms, Fridgemaster, with listed capacities including 75L, 242L, changes the installation story, while Siemens, with listed capacities including 346L, changes the balance with its own icebox, auto-defrost, Low Frost, No Frost, DailyFresh, DynaCool, BioFresh or water-dispenser features where named.

Fridgemaster suits budget kitchens, rented properties and overflow spaces where flexibility is more important than premium finish. Siemens suits fitted-looking freestanding kitchens where finish, controls and a premium BSH-family feel matter. Value depends on more than shelf price: a fridge runs all year, so energy use, food waste, spare capacity and whether the unit avoids a second appliance can matter as much as the first bill.

Bottom line: choose Fridgemaster if you want budget flexibility across undercounter, icebox and tall formats and the Fridgemaster MTL55242E 242L Tall Auto Defrost Larder Fridge at £239 fits; opt for Siemens if you prefer iQ-series tall storage with a more premium finish and the Siemens KS36VAXEP iQ500 346L Tall Fridge - Black Steel at £899 suits your storage space.
