Blomberg vs Hotpoint Hobs

Blomberg and Hotpoint both offer gas hobs, with Blomberg adding induction. Blomberg's listings include the GEN73415E 60cm four-burner gas hob in stainless steel at £249.99, the MIN74387NP 60cm plug-and-play induction hob at £319.99 and the MIN54483N 60cm induction hob in black at £349.99. Hotpoint offers the PPH60PFIXUK 60cm gas hob in silver at £142, the PPH60GDFIX four-burner gas hob in silver at £170 and the FTGHG641DHBK 600mm built-in four-burner gas hob at £385.

Hotpoint's PPH60 gas hobs are considerably cheaper than Blomberg's GEN73415E, offering four burners at £142–£170. The FTGHG641DHBK is a premium gas-on-glass design, with burners set into a black glass surface for a sleek, modern look that is easier to wipe clean than traditional steel. Blomberg's induction hobs heat pans directly for faster, more precise and more efficient cooking. The MIN74387NP's plug-and-play design runs from a standard socket rather than a dedicated cooker circuit, which simplifies installation.

Gas cooks on a budget will find Hotpoint's PPH60 models excellent value. Those wanting a stylish gas-on-glass hob will appreciate the FTGHG641DHBK. Buyers who want induction, whether for speed, efficiency, safety or easy cleaning, should choose Blomberg, as Hotpoint does not list induction here. Blomberg's MIN74387NP is particularly useful in homes without a cooker circuit, avoiding electrician costs.

Bottom line: choose Hotpoint if you want a low-cost gas hob, with the PPH60PFIXUK at £142, or a gas-on-glass design like the FTGHG641DHBK at £385. Opt for Blomberg if you want induction cooking, with the plug-and-play MIN74387NP at £319.99 or the MIN54483N at £349.99.
