Blomberg vs Hoover Hobs

Blomberg and Hoover both offer 60cm hobs, but Hoover focuses on low-cost gas. Blomberg's listings include the GEN73415E 60cm four-burner gas hob in stainless steel at £249.99, the MIN74387NP 60cm plug-and-play induction hob at £319.99 and the MIN54483N 60cm induction hob in black at £349.99. Hoover offers the H-Hob 300 HHW6LK3X 60cm four-burner gas hob in stainless steel at £139–£169 and the HHG6BRMX built-in four-burner gas hob at £169.

Hoover's gas hobs are notably cheaper than Blomberg's GEN73415E, with the HHW6LK3X available from £139, around £110 less. Both offer four burners in a stainless steel finish, suiting buyers who prefer the instant, visible heat control of gas. Blomberg's range adds induction, which heats pans directly for fast, precise and efficient cooking, with a cooler surface that is easier to clean. The MIN74387NP's plug-and-play design runs from a standard socket, avoiding the need for a dedicated cooker circuit, which Hoover does not offer here.

For gas cooks on a budget, Hoover offers excellent value, particularly for kitchen refreshes and rental properties. Buyers who want to switch away from gas, or who want the speed and safety of induction, should look at Blomberg, as Hoover does not list an induction hob in this comparison. Blomberg's plug-and-play model is particularly useful for homes without a cooker circuit.

Bottom line: choose Hoover if you want a low-cost gas hob, with the H-Hob 300 HHW6LK3X from £139 as the best value. Opt for Blomberg if you want induction cooking, with the plug-and-play MIN74387NP at £319.99 or the MIN54483N at £349.99, or prefer its GEN73415E gas hob.
