Bosch vs Hisense — Comparison

The Bosch Series 4 WAN28254GB at £449 and the Hisense 5S WF5S1245BB at £469 are both 1400rpm washing machines, but they differ greatly in capacity. The Bosch offers an 8kg drum, while the Hisense offers a huge 12kg drum for just £20 more.

The Bosch WAN28254GB from the Series 4 range is known for reliability, quiet running and efficient washing, with features such as SpeedPerfect for faster cycles and AllergyPlus programmes on many models. The Hisense WF5S1245BB from the 5S Series offers a 12kg drum that handles king-size duvets and large family washes, in a black finish, typically with an inverter motor for quiet, efficient running.

For large families, the Hisense's extra 4kg is outstanding value. For smaller households that prioritise Bosch's reputation for reliability, the Bosch is the safer long-term choice. Check the depth of the Hisense, as larger machines can be deeper. Both spin at 1400rpm, so drying times will be similar.

Bottom line: choose the Hisense 5S WF5S1245BB at £469 if you want a huge 12kg drum for only £20 more. Choose the Bosch Series 4 WAN28254GB at £449 if you prefer Bosch's reliability in an 8kg machine.
