AEG vs Leisure Cookers
AEG and Leisure both offer electric cookers with ovens and ceramic hobs, but their price points differ sharply. AEG's cookers here start at £699 with the CCX1530ACB SurroundCook model and reach £779 for the CCB6741ACM SteamBake cooker. Leisure's Classic double oven cookers, the CLA60CEK and CLA60CEC, are £529 each, while the Cookmaster CK100D210K 100cm electric range cooker costs £1,299 and the Cuisinemaster CS100D510X costs £1,799.
The biggest difference is in size. Leisure's 100cm range cookers are £600 more than the AEG CCX6740ACB 112-litre double oven at £699, and the Cuisinemaster is £1,100 more. The CLA60CEK at £529 is £170 cheaper than the cheapest AEG. Its 35-litre and 56-litre ovens include an integrated electric grill, while the CLA60CEC is two ovens with catalytic liners and faster cooking. AEG's models add SteamBake and SurroundCook, which the Leisure cookers do not promote. AEG's SteamBake, catalytic cleaning and multi-shelf fan cooking are not matched by the Leisure range shown here.
AEG suits keen home bakers and families who want SteamBake and even multi-shelf cooking from a freestanding cooker. Leisure suits buyers who need a double oven at a lower price, or a 100cm range cooker when the kitchen has room for one, with the Cookmaster CK100D210K as the entry point. Check your circuit and measure the space before buying, because a 100cm range needs a larger gap than a standard 60cm cooker. The Cookmaster and Cuisinemaster suit a kitchen with space for a 100cm cooker and a wide cooking surface.
Bottom line: choose AEG if baking results and SteamBake matter most, from £699. Choose Leisure if you want a 60cm double oven cooker from £529 or a 100cm range cooker from £1,299 with the Cookmaster CK100D210K.
