Leisure vs Rangemaster Cookers

Leisure and Rangemaster both build traditional-style cookers, but their price bands barely overlap in this comparison. Leisure's 60cm Classic models, the CLA60CEK and CLA60CEC, are priced at £529 each, while its 100cm Cookmaster CK100D210K costs £1,299 and the Cuisinemaster CS100D510X costs £1,799. Rangemaster's 60cm options run from the Professional Plus 60 PROPL60ECBLC at £829 to the Classic 60 CLA60EICRC and Professional + PROPL60EIBL/C induction models at £935 each, with the Classic CLA60ECCR/C cream ceramic cooker at £879.

The Leisure Classic range offers a double oven with an integrated electric grill and oven capacities of 35 and 56 litres on the CLA60CEK, plus catalytic liners and a ceramic hob on the CLA60CEC. Rangemaster's 60cm models focus on two-cavity layouts with a main multifunctional oven, variable grills that offer low and high heat settings, and special grease-absorbing liners. The Classic and Professional + models add either a ceramic or an induction hob, and the induction versions heat up faster and respond more quickly when the power is changed.

Leisure suits buyers who want a larger 100cm range cooker for a family kitchen, or who want a double oven at the lowest cost in this pairing. Rangemaster suits anyone who wants a 60cm cooker with an induction hob and a neat, consistent cavity layout. The gap between the cheapest Leisure at £529 and the cheapest Rangemaster at £829 is £300, so a Rangemaster buyer is paying for the cavity layout and hob choice rather than size. Check that the kitchen has space for the chosen width before ordering.

Bottom line: choose Leisure if you need a 100cm range or a double oven for the lowest price, choose Rangemaster if you want a 60cm cooker with a variable grill and an induction option from £935.
