CDA vs Leisure Cookers
CDA and Leisure are separated by function as much as price. CDA's comparison models are the SC030BL at £189, the SC020SS at £273 and the SC050BL at £329, all built-in single ovens. Leisure's are the CLA60CEK and CLA60CEC 60cm Classic electric cookers at £529 each, the 100cm Cookmaster CK100D210K electric range at £1,299 and the 100cm Cuisinemaster CS100D510X at £1,799.
CDA's technology is limited to a single oven with a large cavity, 2800W heating elements on the two black models and simple dial controls. Leisure's cookers combine oven and hob. The CLA60CEK has a double oven, an integrated electric grill and 35- and 56-litre cavities, and the CLA60CEC has two ovens, catalytic liners and faster cooking. The two 100cm ranges offer a much wider cooking surface than any CDA model. CDA ovens need a separate hob, which the Leisure cookers include. The cheapest CDA oven, the SC030BL at £189, costs £340 less than either Leisure Classic.
CDA suits budget kitchen fits and landlords who want a large built-in oven for roasts, and the SC020SS in stainless steel at £273 suits a steel kitchen. Leisure suits buyers who want a complete 60cm double oven cooker with a grill, or a 100cm range for a larger kitchen. The 60cm Classic costs £200 more than the SC050BL, which buys a hob and a second oven. The Cookmaster CK100D210K at £1,299 is £970 more than the SC050BL, so a 100cm range is a far bigger purchase.
Bottom line: choose CDA if you want a built-in single oven for £189 to £329 and already have a hob; choose Leisure if you need a complete 60cm Classic double oven at £529, or a 100cm range such as the Cookmaster CK100D210K at £1,299.
