AEG vs Blomberg Freezers

AEG and Blomberg both sell frost-free freezers for kitchens, but AEG's range is built around built-in undercounter units. The 6000-series OAB6I82EF costs £449, and the OAB6L88ES with LowFrost, OptiSpace and Frostmatic costs £519.99. AEG's 7000-series OAB7N82EF is also a built-in undercounter freezer with No Frost and Fast Freeze. Blomberg's range is more varied: the FNE154P undercounter at £329.99, the 54cm FNM455W tall freezer at £479.99, the FNM4671P tall freezer at £529.99 and the integrated FNT4454I at £679.99.

AEG's technology is where it stands apart. TwinTech NoFrost dual cooling balances humidity and prevents frost, and FastFreeze locks in nutrients and texture when new food goes in. CustomFlex door storage can be arranged to suit different food types, and the OAB6L88ES adds OptiSpace for flexible shelving. Blomberg keeps its feature set simpler: every Blomberg freezer here is frost free, the FNT4454I sits behind a kitchen cabinet door, and the models share engineering with sister brand Beko. Choose AEG for the extra freezing controls and Blomberg for a fitted look.

AEG suits buyers who want a built-in freezer for a fitted kitchen with extra freezing controls, and who will use the Frostmatic and Fast Freeze functions. Blomberg suits households that need a tall or integrated frost-free freezer, particularly in narrow spaces where the 54cm FNM455W fits better than a standard 60cm model. For a small kitchen needing extra frozen storage under a worktop, the FNE154P is £119.01 cheaper than the OAB6I82EF.

Bottom line: choose AEG if you want a built-in undercounter freezer with NoFrost, FastFreeze and flexible door storage, with the OAB6L88ES at £519.99 as the best-equipped option. Choose Blomberg if you need a tall or integrated frost-free freezer at a lower price, with the FNE154P at £329.99 for undercounter space or the FNM455W at £479.99 for a narrow tall unit.
