Blomberg vs Liebherr Freezers

Blomberg and Liebherr both offer frost-free tall freezers, but Liebherr's are compact and premium. Blomberg's listings include the FNM455W 54cm frost-free tall freezer at £479.99, the FNM4671P tall freezer at £529.99 and the FNT4454I 54cm integrated frost-free freezer at £679.99. Liebherr offers the FE1404 Pure 107L undercounter freezer at £369 and the FNE4204 161L NoFrost tall freezer with FrostProtect at £599.

Liebherr, a German refrigeration specialist, focuses on precise temperature control and build quality. The FNE4204 includes NoFrost, preventing ice build-up, and FrostProtect, designed to protect frozen food during a temperature rise such as a power cut. Its 161L capacity suits smaller households. The FE1404 offers a generous 107L in an undercounter format. Blomberg's tall freezers offer more capacity for less money, with the FNM455W costing around £120 less than Liebherr's FNE4204. Blomberg's FNT4454I is an integrated frost-free freezer for fitted kitchens.

For buyers who value specialist build, precise temperature control and features like FrostProtect, Liebherr justifies its premium, particularly for smaller households. Blomberg suits families who need more freezer capacity at a lower price, and buyers with fitted kitchens wanting a tall integrated freezer. Buyers wanting compact undercounter storage should consider Liebherr's FE1404, as Blomberg does not list an undercounter model here.

Bottom line: choose Liebherr if you want premium build and FrostProtect, with the FNE4204 161L NoFrost at £599, or the FE1404 undercounter at £369. Opt for Blomberg if you want more capacity for less, with the FNM455W frost-free tall freezer at £479.99 or the integrated FNT4454I at £679.99.
