Hisense vs LG Fridge Freezers

Hisense and LG both offer American-style fridge freezers, and Hisense starts cheaper. Hisense models here run from the 336-litre Hisense RB435N4BWE frost-free freestanding unit at £399 to the cross-door Hisense RQ760N4IFE smart display model at £1,939, with the 578-litre Hisense RS741N4WBE at £629 in between. LG runs from the 641-litre LG GSLC41PYPE at £849 to the 638-litre LG GMG960EVJE at £1,999, with the InstaView LG GSGV81EPLD at £1,599 in the middle.

Hisense's core technologies are Total No Frost and Multi Air Flow, which the brand says keeps cooling even across all compartments, plus Super Freeze and Super Cool on the RQ760N4IFE. Its variable temperature zones adjust from -23°C to 5°C. LG's signature is InstaView, which lets owners knock twice on the glass to see inside, and Door-in-Door, which the brand says cuts cold air loss by up to 47%. Linear Cooling holds temperature within ±0.5°C, and a CustomChill drawer runs from -2°C to 3°C. The GSLC41PYPE and GMG960EVJE add ice and water dispensers, while the InstaView models offer ThinQ Wi-Fi control.

Hisense suits buyers who want the lowest entry price, particularly the 336-litre RB435N4BWE at £399 with its 60/40 split, or the 578-litre RS741N4WBE at £629 with 370 litres of fridge and 208 litres of freezer. LG suits buyers who want ice and water dispensing, or InstaView viewing, such as the GSGV81EPLD's 416-litre fridge and 219-litre freezer at £1,599. The RQ563N4SF2 at £699 offers a 454-litre cross-door layout with multiple drawers and a recessed metal handle for those who want a different format.

Bottom line: choose Hisense if you want the lowest price, from £399 to £629 for a frost-free or large American-style unit. Choose LG if you want InstaView, Door-in-Door or ice and water dispensing, from £849 to £1,999.
