Hisense vs Hotpoint Fridge Freezers

Hisense and Hotpoint sit at opposite ends of the UK fridge freezer market. Hisense runs from the RB435N4BWE 336-litre frost free model at £399 to the RQ760N4IFE cross door American style fridge freezer at £1,939, with the RS741N4WBE 578-litre American style model at £629 in between. Hotpoint ranges from the HPKH 1261 W4UK 270-litre No Frost fridge freezer at £369 up to the H7X 93T SK M total no frost model at £619, with the 50/50 model with a water dispenser at £439 in the middle.

Hisense leans on Total No Frost and Multi Air Flow, which keeps cold air moving evenly around each compartment. Its premium RQ760N4IFE adds a smart display plus Super Freeze and Super Cool modes, and the ConnectLife app offers remote monitoring and door open alerts on higher-end units. Hotpoint keeps things simpler, with Fresh Zone drawers and adjustable shelves on the HPKH 1261 W4UK, Active Fresh and a low frost system on the H1NT821EOX, and an integrated water dispenser on the 50/50 model.

Hotpoint suits smaller kitchens, couples, first homes and landlords who need a dependable frost free fridge freezer at prices from £369. Hisense suits larger families who want an American style or cross door layout, or app features on the premium models. Its 578-litre RS741N4WBE gives a 370-litre fridge and 208-litre freezer, which suits a weekly big shop, but the wider cabinet needs a clear recess and proper ventilation. Either way, check the space before you buy, because a cross door or American style unit needs far more width than a standard 60cm housing.

Bottom line: choose Hotpoint if you want a reliable frost free fridge freezer for a smaller kitchen at under £450, with simple controls. Choose Hisense if you need a large American style or cross door model, or app control on the RQ760N4IFE, and can spend between £629 and £1,939.
