NEFF vs Whirlpool Washing Machines

NEFF offers built-in models at £749 and £799 and the 8kg VNA341U8GB washer dryer at £1,129. Whirlpool also targets fitted kitchens, with the built-in 8kg BIWMWG81485UK at £499, the built-in 9kg BIWMWG91485UK at £549 and the 9kg wash and 6kg dry BIWDWG961485UK at £629, plus the 9kg W899ADSILENCEUK at £629. The VNA341U8GB washer dryer at £1,129 is £500 more than the Whirlpool washer dryer BIWDWG961485UK at £629.

NEFF's W544BX2GB has a 66dB A rating and a 1400rpm spin, and it is made within the BSH group that also produces Bosch and Siemens machines. Whirlpool's features include FreshCare+, which keeps clothes fresh after the cycle, Autodose on the W899ADSILENCEUK, and ZEN Technology for quieter operation. Its 6th SENSE technology adjusts water, temperature and drum movement to load size. The BIWMWG81485UK undercuts the W543BX2GB by £250, at £499 against £749. The VNA341U8GB combines 8kg washing with 5kg drying, which suits an integrated kitchen with no room for a separate dryer.

NEFF suits kitchens designed around the brand's ovens, hobs and dishwashers, where a premium integrated machine is part of the plan. Whirlpool suits buyers who want built-in installation at a lower price, and its washer dryer suits homes without room for a separate dryer. Buyers who want Autodose, quiet operation and FreshCare+ in a 9kg machine will find the W899ADSILENCEUK a good option. The W899ADSILENCEUK is the only model here that combines Autodose with ZEN Technology. Buyers should allow for professional installation with any built-in model from either brand.

Bottom line: choose NEFF if you want a premium integrated 8kg machine with a 66dB rating, such as the W544BX2GB at £799, and choose Whirlpool if you need a built-in machine for less, such as the BIWMWG81485UK at £499 or the washer dryer at £629.
