AEG vs Belling Hobs

AEG and Belling both make hobs for a standard 60cm worktop, but they differ in fuel and price. AEG's range runs from the HGB64420YM 60cm stainless steel gas hob at £378 and the HGB75500SM 750mm slimline five-burner gas hob at £379, to the IAE64411FB 600mm SenseBoil induction hob at £439 and the IAE84411FB 750mm four-zone induction hob at £679. Belling keeps its line short, with the IHT6013BLK 60cm induction hob in black at £259 and the GHU603RISTA 60cm stainless steel gas hob at £219.

Induction models from AEG bring SenseBoil and Direktouch controls, while the 750mm IAE84411FB adds auto switch off and touch controls across four zones. Its gas models use cast-iron pan supports and rotary dials, and the HGB75500SM offers five burners on a wider surface. Belling's technology is simpler. The IHT6013BLK has four cooking zones with touch controls in a 590mm-wide cut-out, and the GHU603RISTA includes a wok burner in a 600mm stainless steel top. Both Belling hobs are practical rather than feature-rich.

For cooks who want induction and gas from one brand, especially those who will use a wider gas surface or appreciate responsive induction, AEG is the natural choice. Belling suits practical UK kitchens that need a familiar 60cm replacement, with gas or induction available at an accessible price. Induction hobs need magnetic pans, so check your cookware before buying either the Belling IHT6013BLK or an AEG induction model. Gas hobs need a Gas Safe installer, and both need a careful cut-out measurement before ordering.

Bottom line: choose AEG if you want the choice of induction or gas, a 750mm surface or a premium finish, with the £439 IAE64411FB as the entry point to AEG induction. Choose Belling if you want a familiar British 60cm induction or gas hob at a low price, with the £259 IHT6013BLK as the more affordable route into induction.
