AEG vs Indesit Hobs

AEG and Indesit both sell built-in hobs in several formats, but they differ in premium features and price. AEG's core range includes the IAE84411FB 750mm four-zone induction hob at £679, the IAE64411FB 600mm SenseBoil induction hob at £439 and the HGB75500SM 750mm slimline gas hob at £379. Indesit offers the IB 21B77 NE four-zone induction hob in black at £329, the RI860C 580mm four-zone ceramic hob at £149, the ING 72T/BK five-zone gas hob with a wok burner at £299 and the THP751PIXI 750mm five-burner gas hob at £239.

Induction hobs from AEG use SenseBoil and Direktouch controls, with the IAE84411FB adding auto switch off and touch controls across four zones. Its gas models use cast-iron pan supports and rotary dials, and the HGB75500SM gives five burners on a 750mm surface. Indesit's technology is simpler but covers more formats. The IB 21B77 NE has touch controls, a Push and Go function and dual zones. The ING 72T/BK adds a wok burner and a flame failure device, and the THP751PIXI includes a flame supervision device with dial controls.

Anyone wanting induction or gas from one brand, particularly with precise controls in mind, should look at AEG. Indesit suits budget-conscious buyers who want any type of hob, especially gas cooks who want a wok burner or a 75cm surface that gives more room for large pans. Induction hobs need magnetic pans, and gas hobs need a Gas Safe engineer, so check both before ordering.

Bottom line: choose AEG if you want induction or gas with precise controls and a premium finish from one brand, with the £439 IAE64411FB as the entry point to AEG induction. Choose Indesit if you want a budget hob in any format, such as the £329 IB 21B77 NE induction hob or the £299 ING 72T/BK with a wok burner, without paying for a premium brand.
