CDA vs Indesit Hobs

CDA and Indesit both aim at budget buyers, but Indesit offers a broader choice of hob types and wider gas options. From CDA, the HN6013FR plug and play induction hob costs £279, the HG6351SS 580mm gas hob £209 and the HPG6200SS gas hob £199. Indesit's top model in this group is the IB 21B77 NE four-zone induction hob at £329, followed by the ING 72T/BK five-zone gas hob with a wok burner at £299, the THP751PIXI 750mm five-burner gas hob at £239 and the RI860C ceramic hob at £149.

Indesit's gas models stand out for capacity. The ING 72T/BK gives five zones and a wok burner for high-heat stir-frying, and the THP751PIXI fits five burners across 750mm with a flame supervision device. CDA's gas hobs keep to four burners, with cast iron pan supports, rotary dials and a steel finish that is easy to clean. For electric cooking, CDA's HC6621FR ceramic hob runs nine power levels with an LED display, while Indesit's IB 21B77 NE induction hob adds a push and go function, touch controls and dual zones. Indesit's build quality is noted to vary by price, so check the specific model before buying.

CDA suits homes without a cooker circuit, such as a flat with only a standard socket, because the HN6013FR plugs in. Its gas hobs suit a tight budget, though a Gas Safe engineer must fit them. Indesit suits households that cook with large pans or want a wok burner for Asian-style cooking, and the 750mm THP751PIXI gives more space than most four-burner hobs.

Bottom line: choose CDA if you need a plug and play hob for £279, or a simple four-burner gas hob for £199 to £209. Choose Indesit if you want a wok burner for £299, five burners across 750mm for £239, or a dual-zone induction hob for £329.
