CDA vs Neff Hobs

CDA offers affordable gas and plug and play hobs, while Neff is a premium built-in brand with a wider range of gas and smart induction models. CDA's HN6013FR plug and play hob costs £279 and the HG6351SS gas hob £209. Neff's entry gas model is the T26PIP4S0 N70 60cm hob at £309, followed by the T26CIP8N0 stainless steel gas hob at £349, the T26CB49S0 N50 gas hob at £419 and the T56FHS1L0 N70 smart four-zone induction hob at £549.

Neff's technology is aimed at control. The brand describes 17 power levels, PowerBoost that lifts output by up to 50 per cent for faster heating, and PowerTransfer, which moves cookware between zones while the settings follow. The T56FHS1L0 adds Combi Zone and Multitouch+ controls. CDA's HN6013FR offers overflow detection and residual heat indicators, and the HC6621FR ceramic hob has nine power levels. CDA's gas hobs are simpler, using rotary controls and cast iron pan supports, while Neff's TwistPad Fire Control dial is removable for cleaning and child safety on the models that have it.

CDA suits budget refits, flats without a cooker circuit and anyone replacing an older gas hob without spending much. Neff suits busy households, open-plan kitchens where the hob is a visible feature, and cooks who want fast boost and precise control. Neff backs its hobs with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, so buyers should compare that with CDA's terms before deciding. Neff also notes that some features take a while to learn, which suits confident cooks more than occasional users.

Bottom line: choose CDA if you want a gas or plug and play hob for £199 to £279 and do not need connected features. Choose Neff if you want induction with boost and fine control, starting at £549 for the T56FHS1L0.
