Siemens's features are built around dosing, connectivity and speed. The i-Dos system on the WG46H2A9GB and WG56B2A3GB measures detergent to suit each load, and Home Connect lets you start and monitor cycles from a phone. All Siemens models here run at 1600rpm, and the speedPack range shortens cycles, with speedPack XL on the 10kg WG56B2A3GB. The stainRemoval system appears on the 9kg models, and Home Connect is controlled through a smartphone app, which suits anyone comfortable with app control. Indesit's features are simpler: Push&Go one-touch washing, Full Load Fast Cycles and Delay Timer on the MyTime machines, and steam with an inverter motor on the 9kg BWE 91496X SV UK.

Indesit suits households that want a dependable everyday machine at the lowest cost, particularly tenants and small households. Its 9kg size is the most popular Indesit choice. Siemens suits buyers who want automatic dosing and Home Connect control, or who wash every day and want a fast 1600rpm spin.
