LG vs Siemens Washing Machines

LG and Siemens both offer capable machines across a range of sizes, with LG generally cheaper. LG's models include the F4X1008NMK 6Motion 8kg at £419, the F4Y510WBLN1 10kg at £419, the F4Y513WWLN1 13kg at £499 and the F4X7011TBB 11kg TurboWash360 at £949. Siemens starts at £679 with the WG46G2Z2GB iQ500 9kg, rises to £899 for the WG46H2A9GB and WG46H2AXGB smart 9kg models, and reaches £1,099 for the WG56B2A3GB 10kg.

LG's features are built around AI Direct Drive, which adjusts washing to fabric type and load weight, along with TurboWash for quick cycles and ThinQ Wi-Fi control on the F4X1008NMK. The F4X7011TBB adds TurboWash360, Smart Pairing and ezDispense, while the F4Y510WBLN1 offers a 14 minute quick wash. The 13kg F4Y513WWLN1 is the largest capacity in this comparison. The 8kg F4X1008NMK has 10 programmes, and the 10kg F4Y510WBLN1 is A rated with a 71dB noise level. Siemens' features are iQDrive, speedPack, stainRemoval and 1600rpm spin across its line, with Home Connect and i-Dos automatic detergent dosing on the smart models.

LG suits a family that wants large capacity, such as a 13kg machine for bedding and bulky items, at a lower price. It also suits anyone who likes smart features and an ezDispense system. The 10kg F4Y510WBLN1 at £419 is good value for a busy household. Siemens suits people who want a higher spin speed, remote control and automatic dosing, and who are happy to pay more for those extras.

Bottom line: choose LG if you want a 10kg or 13kg machine from £419 to £499 with AI Direct Drive and quick cycles. Choose Siemens if you want 1600rpm spin, i-Dos and Home Connect, and can justify starting at £679 for the iQ500 or £1,099 for the 10kg model.
