Candy vs Indesit Washing Machines

Candy and Indesit are both budget-friendly, but Indesit's range offers more capacity choice. Candy's EY49B8-80 is a 9kg 1400rpm machine at £269.99. Indesit's MTWC91495WUKN is a 9kg MyTime model with an inverter motor and delay timer at £279, the MTWC81495BKUK at £299 offers 8kg with full-load fast cycles, the BWE91496XSV at £349 adds steam technology, and the BWE101496XWVUK at £349 gives a 10kg load with Push&Go and Water Balance Plus.

Candy's differentiator is smart control. The machine can be operated from a smartphone, with NFC connectivity for downloading programmes, and it offers up to 16 pre-set programmes plus downloadable cycles. Indesit's technology is more practical. Push&Go starts a full wash with one button, MyTime models offer shorter cycles and full-load fast cycles, and inverter motors on several models run quieter and more efficiently. Start Delay settings of up to 24 hours add convenience. The exact difference between the MTWC91495WUKN and the EY49B8-80 is £9.01.

Candy suits buyers who want the lowest price for a 9kg machine and value smartphone control. Indesit suits households who want more capacity options, steam on the BWE91496XSV or a 10kg drum on the BWE101496XWVUK, and simple one-touch washing. Indesit's range runs from 8kg to 10kg, so buyers who want the largest drum should look at the 10kg model, while those who want a basic machine will find the 9kg MyTime easy to live with. The BWE101496XWVUK at £349 is £79.01 more than the EY49B8-80, buying an extra kilogram of wash.

Bottom line: choose CANDY if you want a 9kg washing machine at £269.99 with smartphone control, and choose INDESIT if you want a 9kg MyTime machine with inverter motor at £279, steam on the BWE91496XSV at £349, or a 10kg drum for £349 with Push&Go.
