Beko vs Candy Washing Machines

Beko and Candy both compete hard at the affordable end of the market. Beko's listings include the BM1WT3721W 7kg 1200rpm at £239 and the AquaTech RecycledTub B5W59411AW (white) and B5W59411AG (graphite) 9kg 1400rpm machines at £399 each. Candy's EY49B8-80 9kg 1400rpm sits at £269.99, offering the same capacity and spin speed as Beko's AquaTech models for around £130 less.

Beko's premium over Candy at 9kg buys AquaTech, a wash system that uses a gentler, more efficient drum motion to clean faster and with less wear on fabrics. The RecycledTub construction appeals to eco-conscious buyers, and the graphite finish suits modern kitchens. Candy's EY49B8-80 sticks to essentials: a 9kg drum and a 1400rpm spin, with standard programmes. Both brands have wide UK availability, and Candy is backed by the Haier group.

The choice depends on how much you value faster cycles and fabric care. For busy families washing daily, Beko's AquaTech can save meaningful time each week and is gentler on frequently washed clothes. For budget buyers, students or landlords, the Candy delivers the same capacity at a much lower price. Beko's 7kg BM1WT3721W at £239 is the cheapest option here, suited to couples or single-person households that do not need a large drum.

Bottom line: choose Beko if you want faster, gentler washing and an eco-friendly build, with the AquaTech B5W59411AW at £399 as the best pick. Opt for Candy if you want a 9kg 1400rpm machine at the lowest price, with the EY49B8-80 at £269.99 delivering excellent value for large loads.
