Beko vs Schonhaus Washing Machines

Beko covers £239 to £399, with the 7kg BM1WT3721W at £239, the 9kg BM3WT3941B EnergySpin washer at £309 and the 9kg B5W59411AW AquaTech model at £399. Schonhaus is a mid-priced brand with two models in this comparison, the 8kg WMSF01814AW at £429.99 and the 9kg WMSF01914AG graphite model at £449.99. The 9kg Beko AquaTech model at £399 is £50.99 cheaper than the 9kg Schonhaus WMSF01914AG at £449.99.

Beko's strengths are water-led washing, EnergySpin and a Steam Cure Hygiene+ programme. Schonhaus keeps things simpler: the 8kg WMSF01814AW uses a 3D bubble drum and the 9kg WMSF01914AG has an eco inverter motor, with 15 programmes on each. Both 9kg models spin at 1400rpm, so drying performance is similar, and the Schonhaus range sticks to 1400rpm throughout. The 9kg Beko models share the 1400rpm spin of both Schonhaus models, so wash speed is not the deciding factor. Its control panels are straightforward, which suits households that do not want extra app features.

Beko suits renters and first-time buyers who want a 9kg washer for under £310, or a 7kg model at £239. Schonhaus suits buyers who want a graphite finish, a mid-range machine and possibly a 10kg washer dryer, which Beko does not offer in this comparison. The gap is around £140 for a 9kg model, and that buys a brand with fewer models and less recognition, so buyers should confirm warranty terms before committing. Schonhaus also stands out for its graphite finish on selected models, which suits modern kitchens and utility rooms.

Bottom line: choose Beko if you want the lowest prices, from £239, with EnergySpin and AquaTech on the 9kg models. Choose Schonhaus if you prefer a graphite finish and a 1400rpm machine with a simple control panel, from £429.99.
