Fisher & Paykel vs NEFF Cooker Hoods

Fisher & Paykel is the integrated specialist in this cooker hood comparison, with Series 7 insert hoods priced from £586 for the 60cm HP60IHCB4 to £677 for the 90cm HP90IHCB4. NEFF is the wider-ranging German option, with visible hoods from £299 for the 600mm D46ED22N1B to £689 for the 800mm D85IFN1S0B chimney.

Fisher & Paykel's extractor sits inside a custom canopy or cabinet, so the hood is hidden, and both widths offer three speed settings, a boost setting, efficient LED lighting and SmartHQ app control over WiFi. NEFF's hoods are visible and built around sensor and motor features. The D83IDK1S0B at £399 is a black 80cm wall-mounted flat hood with a 60dB rating, reduced-noise running and an intensive setting. The D94QFM1N0B at £539 is a 90cm stainless steel wall hood with a silent motor, LED lighting, touch control and high extraction. The D85IFN1S0B at £689 adds cooktop-based hood control, and the D46ED22N1B at £299 offers an efficient drive motor, intensive setting and automatic after-running. NEFF also offers Home Connect integration for connected cooking appliances.

Fisher & Paykel suits design-led kitchens where the hood is planned with a kitchen designer and built into a custom canopy, and buyers who want the extractor out of sight. NEFF suits standard kitchens that want a visible hood with a clear set of controls, and buyers who want the hood to work with a NEFF hob. Plan the canopy before buying a Fisher & Paykel, match the hood width to the hob, and budget for professional installation.

Bottom line: choose Fisher & Paykel if you want a hidden extractor in a custom canopy with app control, starting at £586; choose NEFF if you want a visible hood with a silent motor or cooktop-based control, from £299 to £689.
