Hisense vs Rangemaster Cooker Hoods

Hisense covers the 60cm CH6IN14BXBUK at £224 and the 100cm Hi4 CH10IN14BBUK at £249, both in black, with LED lighting on the 100cm model. Rangemaster offers four chimney models, from the LEIHDC90BB 898mm hood at £309 and the CLAHDC90BC 900mm classic hood at £399 to the RMHDT90SS 900mm variable-speed model at £549 and the CLAHDC110BC 1100mm classic hood at £425.

Hisense keeps the specification focused on black finishes, perimetric suction and simple speed controls. Rangemaster's hoods have more range in width and finish, from the 898mm and 900mm chimneys to the 1100mm classic design, and the classic models include a three-speed fan and a built-in light, with a charcoal filter on the 900mm version. Its own material points to extraction rates up to 625m³/h, four to six LED spots depending on the model, aluminium mesh filters with optional charcoal for recirculation, and finishes including stainless steel, black glass and matched colours. The LEIHDC90BB is rated at 65dB. Rangemaster's stated extraction of up to 625m³/h gives a clear performance figure, which the Hisense models do not quote.

Hisense suits buyers who want a low-cost black hood for a modern kitchen, including a wide model for a 100cm hob. Rangemaster suits kitchens where the hood should match a range cooker, since its finishes and widths are chosen to coordinate with its cookers. Its extended warranty options are a practical reason to choose it for a long-term purchase. Those with a wide range cooker will find the 1100mm Rangemaster classic hood a more natural match than a 100cm Hisense, and the charcoal-filtered classic model suits flats where external ducting is not possible.

Bottom line: choose Hisense if you need a black hood at the lowest price, or choose Rangemaster if you want a hood that matches a Rangemaster cooker, a wider 1100mm option or a charcoal-filtered classic design.
