Bosch vs Hisense Cooker Hoods

Bosch covers the mid-to-premium end of this cooker hood comparison, with models priced from £399 for the black 80cm DWK85DK60B to £699 for the Series 4 DWK87FN60B with Home Connect. Hisense is the budget option, with two black hoods priced at £224 for the 60cm CH6IN14BXBUK wall-mounted model and £249 for the 100cm Hi4 CH10IN14BBUK chimney hood.

Bosch's range offers more features. The DWQ96DM50B at £549 is a 90cm wall-mounted slim pyramid hood with TouchSelect control, LED illumination and an intensive speed setting, and the DWK85DK60B at £399 also offers TouchSelect with a maximum extraction of 430 m³/h. The DHL785CGB at £649 has washable aluminium filters across three speeds, and the DWK87FN60B adds EcoSilence and cooktop-based control. Bosch's EcoSilence motor runs at around 40dB, which matters if the kitchen is open to a living area. Hisense keeps things simpler: the CH10IN14BBUK offers perimetric suction, a washable grease filter, LED lighting and three speeds, and the CH6IN14BXBUK has an angled black glass chimney, two extraction options and three speeds.

Bosch suits buyers who want smart features, a choice of finishes and a quieter hood for regular use, particularly in open-plan kitchens. Hisense suits modern kitchens with black ovens, hobs and splashbacks, and it is the obvious choice for a wide hob or range cooker, since the 100cm Hi4 covers a far larger cooking area than the 60cm model. Check the noise level at the highest speed on both, and decide between ducting outside and recirculation before buying.

Bottom line: choose Bosch if you want smart control, EcoSilence running and a wider range of formats from £399; choose Hisense if you want a black finish for £224 to £249 or a 100cm hood for a wide hob.
