AEG vs Samsung Washing Machines

AEG and Samsung compete closely on price in these washing machines, and Samsung's range offers the more affordable 8kg option. AEG's LFX50842B 8kg costs £399 and the L6FBK841B 6000 ProSense 8kg costs £449, with the LFR73944B 7000 ProSteam 9kg at £465 and the LFR71864B 8kg with 1600rpm at £579. Samsung's WW80CGC04DAEEU 8kg AI Energy model is £349, the WW90CGC04DABEU 9kg AI Energy model is £399, and the WW90T554DAW 9kg ecobubble model is £479. The WW11DG6B25LEU1 11kg AI Energy machine also costs £479, only £14 more than AEG's 9kg ProSteam model.

AEG emphasises steam and sensor care, with ProSteam to reduce creasing, ProSense to adjust wash time to the load, and an inverter motor covered for 10 years. Samsung's washers use ecobubble to penetrate fabrics at lower temperatures, and Hygiene Steam is available on most of these models. The WW90T554DAW adds AddWash, which lets you add forgotten items mid-cycle, and its QuickDrive technology can finish lightly soiled loads in around 15 minutes. Samsung's Digital Inverter Motor carries a 20-year warranty.

AEG suits buyers who value steam refreshing and ProSense-controlled washing, particularly households that iron regularly and want fewer creases. Samsung suits families who want the most capacity for the money, since the 11kg WW11DG6B25LEU1 at £479 has the largest drum in this pairing. Its WW90T554DAW at £479 suits those who want AddWash, while SmartThings control suits smart home users. AI Control learns preferences over time, which suits people who want less manual setup.

Bottom line: choose AEG if you want ProSteam and ProSense from £399 for an 8kg machine, and choose Samsung if you want an 8kg AI Energy machine for £349, a 9kg model at £399, or the 11kg WW11DG6B25LEU1 at £479 for the largest drum.
